Green Hydrogen Solutions is a free demonstrator app published by Green Hydrogen Solutions LTD (“greenH2S”, “we”). It shows green-hydrogen and energy-market simulations for demonstration and education. It does not execute real trades, process payments, or provide financial advice. Use of the app is also governed by our Terms of Service.
What we collect

We do not collect passwords, payment or bank details, location, contacts, photos, or device advertising IDs. The app has no ads, no analytics SDKs and no cross-app tracking. No payments are ever required.
Why we may use it (legal basis)
- Registration and follow-up on your interest — your consent when you register, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who try the demonstrator.
- Product news emails — only with your separate, optional opt-in. You can withdraw it at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us; this does not affect your access to the app.
- Consent records — to meet our accountability obligations under data-protection law.
Where it is stored and who can see it
Your registration is sent over HTTPS to the greenH2S API hosted on Google Cloud (EU region). A copy of your profile is kept on your device so you stay signed in. If you are outside the EU (for example in South Africa), this means your data is transferred to and stored in the EU, which offers data-protection standards comparable to POPIA.
Authorised greenH2S staff can export registrations to an internal, access-restricted list in order to follow up. These exports are never published, never stored in public code repositories, and are subject to the same deletion and retention rules as the main records.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data. Google Cloud processes it only as our hosting provider, under data-processing terms that require it to protect your data at least as well as this policy does.
AI briefs in the app are generated by Google Gemini from market and forecast data only. We never send your registration details or other personal data to AI services.
To display market, grid and weather data, the app requests public data from third-party services (for example Open-Meteo, national grid and market-data sources) via our API. Those providers may see technical request information such as IP address under their own policies; we do not send them your registration details.
How long we keep it
Until you delete it, or 24 months after your most recent registration, whichever comes first. Records older than 24 months are deleted automatically.
Delete your data
You can delete your Green Hydrogen Solutions app registration (developer: Green Hydrogen Solutions LTD) at any time, with or without the app installed:
- In the app: Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete my data. This removes your record from our servers immediately and clears the app's data on your device.
- By email: write to info@greenh2s.com from the address you registered with, subject “Delete my greenH2S demo data”. We delete it, including from any internal exports, within 30 days and confirm by email.
What is deleted: your full name, email address, job title, organisation, phone number, product news preference and consent record, from our servers and from any internal exports.
What is kept: nothing from your registration. Server security logs (IP address and request time) are not linked to your registration and expire automatically within 30 days.
Signing out, uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes the on-device copy only.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under South Africa's POPIA or the EU/UK GDPR) you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, or withdraw consent. Contact us at the address below; we respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your data-protection regulator — in South Africa, the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za); in the UK, the ICO; in the EU, your national supervisory authority.
Security
All traffic between the app and our API is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to registration data and exports is restricted to authorised greenH2S staff using a secret access token.
Children
The app is intended for business and professional users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.
Changes
We will update the “Last updated” date when this policy changes, and record which version you accepted when you registered.
